More day 6

Just took a shower and put our shoes by a fan. We're sitting in the Red Carpet Inn in Ebensburg, PA. Decided to get a hotel instead of camp when we saw the weather was calling for thunderstorms. And it was a GREAT IDEA because. PENNSYLVANIA is the WORST. Who knew there were flash floods here?

We rode fast in the morning and got almost 40 miles done before noon.

Our breakfast was great. And even better, it was free! After talking with some of the people there a nice guy named Wilbur picked up our check and paid it. We took a picture with him.

Momma sag stopped on the road a few times and fed us cherries and played music and danced. It was perfect!

Was hot today. Took a picture of my bike computer temperature reading.

And then we climbed this mountain.

Stopped for some ice cream Sundays and chicken fingers at DQ. At least it's not McDonalds...

Then it stated POURING, sideways super hard rain and dropped to about 63 degrees. Brrr. Storm drains were overflowing and some of the route was flooded.

Our hotel is a palace. The owner and her family is wonderful and so is the restaurant. They gave us a great deal on the room. The family working at the restaurant told us they would make us free breakfast before they even open so that we can eat before we ride. People are so nice!

Tomorrow to Pittsburg!
